Sorry about the late reply mike. Both games are free to play, so there is no need as such to pay for both.
Hooves of Fire had to be rewritten from the ground up in order to work on mobile, thus Hooves Reloaded was born. And while we were in the process of rewriting it, we added some extra things in, changed other things to improve the gameplay especially for mobile.
Some people prefer the web based original version, some people prefer the mobile version and some people play both.

Hooves Reloaded v1.497 has just been released in the Google Play Store. A number of players with older/low spec devices were having issues with the game not loading or races crashing. This new version has several improvements to memory usage that should resolve the majority of those issues. The update includes fixes for races crashing/game not loading as well as a few extras and bug fixes. + Improvements to memory usage + Addition of “High Quality Animation” option which can be turned off for better performance in the race screen + Memory improvements to shoutbox + Boosters slide bar + Prize money and game cash display fix play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.com.rubberducksoftware.HoovesOfFireReloaded&hl=en

Hi Mike, again, thanks so much for your feedback. I'll tackle the easy ones first and then the harder ones later (when its not nearly midnight!).
Point 4. We want to encourage players to sign in, everything in the City Hall is a purchase and players cannot initiate any purchases unless they have signed up with an account - that's why City Hall is not available. Ultimately the 'no sign in' option is just for players to see what the game is about before creating an account. Most of the menu options we have locked out to new players are ones that require an account to be set up.
Point 7. The brushes are actually quite advantageous, a horse's happiness does significantly affect its ability to perform on the track and better brushes are much more effective for both your horses and the friends horses you brush with them. We also want players to have something to buy with their cash as they progress through the game and obtain the achievements that are required to unlock them.
Point 6. We could possibly look at private messaging of some description but our focus is on optimal performance of the game at this point (this is proving to be an issue for older/slower devices) and this would add significant overhead and could possibly mean several players would not be able to load the game at all!

Hi Mike, The forum is a relatively new addition as we only really 'launched' it a couple of weeks ago with the Hooves Reloaded website, so yes it is a bit bare. Can fairly quickly and easily add in a forum link on the wiki for you...http://wiki.hoovesreloaded.com/forum Will take on board your suggestion though. Might take me a while to respond to your other post as it is quite detailed, but thank you for such comprehensive feedback!

2. Appropriate use You are responsible for your own behaviour and actions on the Hooves of Fire Forum.
Hooves of Fire Forum is NOT TO BE USED TO;
- Defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights of others. Harassment takes many forms, and is not necessarily limited to the type of language used, but the intent. Repeatedly targeting a specific player/moderator/administrator/employee with harassment and or abuse will lead to a permanent ban of your Forum and Hooves of Fire game account.

Trolling includes creating threads for the sole purpose of causing unrest on the forum, causing disturbances in forum threads, such as picking fights, making off topic posts that ruin the thread, insulting other posters and posting non-constructive posts.
- Discuss Disciplinary Actions. This includes the following:
creating posts or threads to discuss disciplinary actions taken against a player, including chat logs and email correspondence between a player and an administrator/moderator.
creating posts or threads to discuss disciplinary actions taken against a player or account on the forums
discussing a thread that has been locked or removed
Posts that have been locked or removed by the moderator have a reason behind the moderation. It is your responsibility to review the Forum rules and determine what you did wrong, learn from your mistake and ensure that future posts do not break the forum rules.
- Make non-constructive posts. This includes but is not limited to:
Cross posting – Posting the same topic or thread in more than one forum is considered cross posting.
Spam - repeated posting of the same topic or text or posts that are designed to annoy other forum users.
Bumping - posting on threads in order to keep them at the top of the forum list. This includes adding non constructive comments at the bottom of threads to bring them to the top again. Commenting on obsolete or old topics (greater than 2 weeks old) to bump them into discussion is also prohibited.
Petitioning - posts that “petition” for game features, additions, changes, or other issues. Suggestions or ideas can be posted to the boards under "Feature requests" but you may not create a ‘petition’ for others to sign.
Lobbying – continually bringing up the same topic in numerous threads or as an off-topic post in official threads.
"I’m quitting", "I'm leaving" or "The game is dying" threads.
Conspiracy Threads - posts, claims or complaints about Hooves of Fire/Rubber Duck Software or any of its employees acting in collusion with or showing favouritism to a group or player
Posting game exploits. If you find and exploit, please private message the administrator.
Ranting or posting with redundant and non-constructive comments. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner.
Posting team members/staff names in the title or body of the thread. We understand that you would like your post acknowledged and responded to, however, posting staff members names to gain attention will not make this happen. Threads in violation of this guideline will be deleted.

If you use an image as your signature, it should be no larger than 486 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall. Your avatar will be limited to 100 pixels by 100 pixels.
Animation should be kept to a minimum and both your signature and avatar shouldn't be too distracting.
Do not include spam, harassing links or affiliate links in your signature.
Comments and/or links that represent direct competition are not allowed.
Any signature violating these rules will be considered spam. The signature will be deleted and the offending member will be addressed by our moderators.
Forum policing
The Hooves of Fire Forum operates on a three strike policy. Users will be warned a maximum of three times for any and all offences in a three month period. If the need arises for a fourth warning a temporary ban will be put in place of between 1 to 7 days, or a permanent ban depending on the severity of the offense.
Arguing with moderators/administrators after having received a warning will lead to an immediate additional warning. Should this warning exceed three strikes a temporary ban will be put in place as above.
Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban or other moderator action will lead to a permanent ban of your Forum and Hooves of Fire account(s). Circumvention includes re-registering or using an already registered account under a non-banned username. Other examples include changing IP addresses, using a new email account or other action that can be taken to evade moderator action to hide your identity as the owner of the sanctioned account.
An exception to the three strike rule applies when users contact administrators or moderators personally (via any method) and post insulting, abusive, libelous, indecent or vulgar material. Such users may be subject to an immediate permanent ban.
Permanent bans are used as a last resort and thought is given before implementing them. While Rubber Duck Software may consider lifting permanent bans from time to time, this is a rare occurrence.
Account suspension and termination
Your use of the Hooves of Fire Forum is subject to your compliance with the Rules of Conduct and the Hooves of Fire Terms of Service. Failure to comply with these Rules of Conduct may result in Rubber Duck Software taking any or all of the following actions:
Remove any material or postings you have made to the forums;
Issuing a warning;
Suspend or Ban your Hooves of Fire game account and/or your use of the forums;
Disclose such information to law enforcement authorities as Rubber Duck Software feels is reasonably necessary; and/or
Pursue legal action against you.
Rubber Duck Software excludes all liability for:
(i) any action taken in response to breaches of these Rules of Conduct. The responses described in the Rules of Conduct are not exhaustive, and Rubber Duck Software may take any other action, in its sole discretion, it deems appropriate; (ii) any loss or damage arising from the use of the forum by you; (iii) any content posted or uploaded by users of the forum which shall include, without limitation, any liability for offensive and/or defamatory posts.
